Mini-METHS Galloway, Scotland. September 6-7, 2008

Following
the Lochgoilhead meet, the weather broke.
We were restricted to an ascent of lowly Moyle Hill (500 ft), an Iron
Age fort which overlooks the estuary of the river Ur near Dalbeattie. Then the view was confined to the
underside of Mad Axeman’s umbrella.
However, a jolly evening followed at the House of Munro and the next day
Shooting Stick rescued METHS pride with an ascent of Merrick (2766 ft).
